Waygate Technologies Introduces Easier Everyday Remote Visual Inspection with the Everest Mentor Flex VideoProbe™

SKANEATELES, N.Y. and HUERTH, Germany July 27, 2021 – Waygate Technologies, a Baker Hughes business and world leader in industrial nondestructive testing (NDT) solutions, is expanding its VideoProbe™ portfolio for remote visual inspection. With the new Everest Mentor Flex VideoProbe™, the company is offering the leading design, durability, and image quality of its premium flagships at a mid range price level. The high value, low maintenance new borescope is designed for everyday use in a variety of industries, including the highly regulated aviation and energy sectors.

Visibility in every direction

Equipped with high power steering motors and all way articulation, the Everest Mentor Flex VideoProbe™ guarantees visibility in every direction including hard to reach inspection parts. The industry leading light output and proven TrueSight™ image quality in combination with a large WXGA (Wide XGA) LCD touchscreen helps detect flaws even in dark places and improves the probability of detection.

A wide range of probe diameter and length options and a variety of optical tip adapters make the high performance borescope adaptable to any use case in remote visual inspection.

Faster and more reliable inspection

To streamline the data analysis and decision making process as well as reduce downtime, the Everest Mentor Flex offers wireless connectivity that allows for wireless video streaming, data transfer to iOS devices, and software updates.

Modern features like the Menu Directed Inspection (MDI) also make everyday inspection easier and help to improve process efficiency at every level – from intelligently auto-tagging images to auto-generating reports. The Everest Mentor Flex’s virtual keyboard enables faster annotation while its multi point touchscreen provides an intuitive gesture-based user interface.

Military grade durability and hands-free operation

Due to its light weight and rugged and ergonomic design, the newest addition to the VideoProbe™ portfolio can easily be operated anywhere, while a new line of accessories also allows for hands free operation. Given its rough application environments, the device is constructed with a military-grade magnesium housing and Gorilla® Glass and was third-party tested to withstand the rigors of any industrial workplace.

“Over the past years, our customers across numerous sectors have signaled to us that their industry is becoming increasingly complex, while at the same, they are facing high pressure to make faster and yet reliable inspection decisions,” says Paul Thompson, Global Technical Support and Training Manager at Waygate Technologies. “With the Everest Mentor Flex, we are offering a simple solution to meet these demands.
