SINGAPORE12 November 2014-GE (NYSE: GE) today announced the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art Technology Solutions Center (TSC) in Singapore. An invitation-only ribbon-cutting ceremony, customers will tour the facility and experience the complete GE Measurement & Control product portfolio installed in a real-world industrial environment to stimulate the most demanding applications across the oil, gas and power generation industries.

The facility which is part of GE Oil & Gas has merged its customer application and aftermarket center in a new location that has 5,176 square meter of space. The complete GE Measurement & Control product portfolio will now be available under one hub to optimize plant operations, maximize the value of equipment, and enable successful expansion with on-time projects and lower long-term maintenance expenses. At the TSC, GE customers can participate in training sessions, demonstrations and customization exercises through a series of interactive interfaces and multimedia presentations designed to address their unique needs. On-site GE domain experts offer one-on-one support, helping customers to operate safely while maximizing plant up-time and efficiency.

"At GE Measurement & Control, we are dedicated to fueling the future and providing comprehensive industrial healthcare for customers’ critical assets across our industrial and manufacturing environments. We continually explore solutions for tomorrow and keep our customers at the forefront of quality, safety, service and productivity," said Loh Ming Kit, Regional General Manager Asia, GE Measurement & Control for GE Oil & Gas.

This opening is an important step in strengthening GE's presence in the oil and gas sector by having a centralized structure, standardized processes, better coverage as well as easier access to the knowledge pool of experts all located in one hub to help generate customers’ product solutions.

The construction was completed on-time within 6 months enabling both the aftermarket center from Tuas and customer application center from Kaki Bukit to relocate to Lok Yang in July and September this year respectively.

Bringing the two centers together supports GE’s efforts to align its production to new customer needs and to extend its technology capability locally and regionally throughout Asia Pacific.
